He's Got My Vote

"Wasted": that's the assessment of ex-cocaine user Barack Obama on the lives of soldiers killed in Iraq.

The former Muslim now insists that he regrets having made the remarks about US soldiers who died fighting world-wide terrorism.

Obama, who vociferously supports crushing the heads of infants as they are being born, instead wanted to discuss "how we want to put an end to the nasty slash-and-burn, trivialized politics of the last couple of decades."

Now that some of his old financial supporters have fallen out of favor, he also wants to discuss "how we want to reduce the influence of money in politics... how we want to come up with common-sense and practical solutions instead of being driven by ideology".

But the black man who supports gay marriage and opposes school vouchers, even though the majority of the black community oppose gay marriage and support school vouchers, insists "it isn't about me."

The evidence bears him out. After the statute of limitations expired, Barack Obama described in his autobiography Dreams From My Father(s) how he readily engaged in marijuana use and underage drinking, but he never did smack, i.e. heroin. After the book's publication, fellow Harvard Law School graduate and Democrat Attorney General Tom Miller of Iowa called Obama the smartest person to attend the institution in the past 25 years.

Among the members of the audience who applauded the rookie senator's latest address were Miss USA and Donald Trump.

As Senator Joseph Biden observed, Barack Obama is "the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy."

Given the decaying looks of the former cheerleader Hillary Rodham, Barack Obama is the Democrat Party's best hope for President.

Excellent observations. On Youtube there are several videos of his public remarks about christianity, too, that are pretty scary for a U.S. politician. This man is definitely not from the middle - classic Chicago Democrat. Don't worry though, Hillary will bankrupt his campaign before the end of the year.

When it's this early it's important to remember that both Bill Clinton and Ronald Reagan were not even considered viable candidates around this time during their elections. The race has just begun and the unknowns will surely change the competition. So far, though, the conservatives are not offering up candidates that I would willingly vote for - either because they are not pro-life or they can't stand by any decision they have made in the past. We definitely need either a christian or pro-life alternative party.

Steve, he's not a "former Muslim." He was never a Muslim.

And you think he lies because...? It doesn't matter what Islamic law says, so long as we believe in freedom of choice: if he did not assent, he was not Muslim

From the article to which you linked:

“I remained a reluctant skeptic, doubtful of my own motives, wary of expedient conversion, having too many quarrels with God to accept a salvation too easily won,” he wrote.

But after much soul searching, he eventually was baptized at Trinity United Church of Christ.

“It came about as a choice and not an epiphany; the questions I had did not magically disappear,” he explained. “But kneeling beneath that cross on the South Side of Chicago, I felt God’s spirit beckoning me. I submitted myself to His will, and dedicated myself to discovering His truth.”

That's a Christian speaking, a real man of faith, and your calumny will not change that.

He is considered an apostate Muslim. He has even confirmed this with Oprah in the past as a reason that christianity was a difficult road he wanted to travel.

And just for fun, Wikipedia:

"Under traditional Islamic law (according to Abdurrahmani'l-Djaziri's Kitabul'l-fiqh 'ala'l-madhahibi'l-'arba'a i.e Apostasy in Islam according to the Four Schools of Islamic Law (Vol. 5, pp. 422-440) First English Edition (Villach): 1997)......some additional penalties and considerations that are mentioned are that a divorce is automatic if either spouse apostatize, an under age apostate is imprisoned till he reaches maturity and then he is killed, and the recommended execution is beheading with a sword."

It also states:

"[Maududi states:] In any case the heart of the matter is that children born of Muslim lineage will be considered Muslims and according to Islamic law the door of apostasy will never be opened to them. If anyone of them renounces Islam, he will be as deserving of execution as the person who has renounced kufr to become a Muslim and again has chosen the way of kufr. All the jurists of Islam agree with this decision. On this topic absolutely no difference exists among the experts of shari'ah."

Yeah, he's pretty much done for in both religions.

"It doesn't make any difference whether he is a 'former Muslim' or not."

Actually, it does make a difference. He is being marketed as someone who can "see both sides". However, if he was never a true Muslim, it doesn't mean as much. Also, by pointing out that he is a christian, albeit a lousy one, but not that he is an apostate to another religion acts as if there are no issues with going between the two religions. People are being killed in countries every year by making this "choice" against Islam. It ignores the fact that in christianity, acting out free will through choice is possible but it is not in the Islamic traditions.
